The Happy Village quilt for the Comfort Circle of the do. Good Stitches Bee is finished! Leslie (NorthSea Quilters) took care of the quilting.
The backing is a lovely IKEA fabric. Unfortunately it is no longer available.
The happy swirly quilting pattern was made with a green Aurifil thread. I think it works really well!
Shortly, there will be a ‘Droomdekentjes dag’ (dream blanket day), in our community centre. I will take this quilt and two boxes there, filled with other finished quilts, quilt-tops and backings and lots of fabrics. The quilts will be sent to children in need and the tops, backings and fabrics will be used to make new quilts.
Finishing The Happy Village quilt was my last contribution to the Comfort Circle of the do. Good Stitches Bee. I will continue to make charity quilts, but in my own pace
